Critical Thinking Rate
This section provides an overview of Critical Thinking Rate.
A measure of the likelihood that the speaker is engaging in analytical thinking versus intuitive thinking, indicating depth of reasoning in arguments.
Overview
Critical Thinking Rate (CTR) measures the likelihood that the speaker is engaging in analytical (System 2) thinking versus intuitive (System 1) thinking. It reflects the speaker's depth of reasoning and effort in constructing arguments. A higher CTR suggests more deliberate and logical thought processes.
Applications
1) Coder's Perspective
Coders compute CTR by analyzing the complexity and logical structure of arguments, integrating it into the Critical Thinking Scores (CTS).
2) User's Perspective
Users can view the CTR to understand how thoughtfully the speaker has constructed their arguments.
