Overview

ClaimType Object classifies claims into categories based on their nature: "Fact" (asserting something is true), "Value" (asserting something is good or bad), or "Policy" (advocating for a course of action). This classification aids in analyzing the claim's purpose and the type of evidence or reasoning required to support it.

Applications

1) Coder's Perspective

Coders categorize claims using the ClaimType Object to tailor the analysis and scoring algorithms based on the claim type, as different types may require different evaluation criteria.

2) User's Perspective

Users can see the claim type to better understand the nature of the assertion and the kind of support they should expect from the speaker.
